settings won't save

I've had this working fine on a development server. Moving to a different host but almost identical environment when going live, all functions correctly, but saving on either of the power tools settings pages only reloads the page and does not submit any changes and does not show an update message.
I compared and found every field in the databases to be identical, for both the settings and the module in the system table. I was able to change the setting I wanted from within the database.
Anyone have a clue to this mystery?
Running ubercart 6.x-2.0-rc7
both servers running - MySQL 5.0.81-community-log

Solved - it was a combination of securepages not being changed to reflect my rewrite rules for domain redirects - closing this.
