More robust Error Handling for Credit Card numbers

The current implementation of this API returns a generic error when non-numeric values are entered into the Credit Card field (and the form is submitted). Ideally, the error-handling on the form would be more robust and remove non-numeric characters from the Credit Card field to obviate this error for those cases.
