I've found myself in a situation where I'd like to use FileField Sources on a site but not use all the sources on all the fields. I wish there as a sane way to remove some sources (IMCE browser) or to at least just control how can access the sources. Any thoughts on the best way to achieve this?

This will eventually be added in #436174: Configuration Options. FileField Sources was written before CCK made a place for other modules to even add settings, but now that it's been fixed, it should be possible to add settings on a per-field basis. Marking duplicate.
