I would like to take over this module to make a release that works - as the current module fails with recent amazon api changes - my patch is in http://drupal.org/node/528904

Or, feel free to roll a new release with the patch...

Well I've submitted all the patches in the mentioned thread and someone can role a new version with those. I am willing to do it if I can get access but for now the maintainer should feel free to roll a new release with the patches in that thread.
