Hello all. Im trying to figure out how to give a user role permission to administer only a certain node type. From what my knowledge, you can only tell drupal to allow adminstration of all content. Thanks.

Are you looking for Node Access Control.

There are multitudes of modules out there to allow as fine grained access control as you might wish. If you search the modules on "permission" or similar search terms you will get a long list of modules, some of which may match your needs.

However sticking this question under theme development may not have been the best choice.
