Gorgeous theme!
One quick question- am I being daft or does it not display the taxonomy terms of the current item being displayed? (you know, the tags?)

It does and it is printed in node.tpl inline with submission if I am not mistaken. The current unreleased dev version is exactly as it is deployed in the demo site. It was the least developed theme since then. I haven't managed my time to refine everything, that's why it is not released yet. It is working, but just needs some time to clean things up :)
Can you specify the problem exactly?
