If you create views content panes, they are not available to og_panels. This is teh suck, and almost certainly related to our context handling. I will try and fix asap since this is really kinda critical for GDO.

maxelrod commentedWondering if this is still a bug? There have been a number of updates to panels, views, etc. lately.
In our development environment we are finding that views content panes ARE available and working with og_panels, at least in our very limited testing. So far just one view pane in one og_panel is configured in out test environment. We'll be trying some more soon.
here's what we have:
Views 6.x-2.6
Chaos tool suite 6.x-1.2
Panels 6.x-3.2
(and many other modules, too many to list)
We are one version behind in views, but still all seems well so far

MatthewDodwell commentedI was playing with this on with a similar setup to maxelrod and for ages couldn't get it working until I found and enabled the setting in Chaos Tools:
Views content Panes
Hope this helps anyone else who was having the same problem.

stg11 commentedViews panes visibility for groups is provided in admin/og/og_panels
You can decide whether to automatically make different kinds of content show up or control it manually.

Beaker633 commentedI was just about to add to this bug. I have spent most of the new Star Trek movie trying to get this to work.... just discovered that I did not have the Views Content Panes module enabled.... grrr. maybe it should be required for the views integration....

AntiNSA commentedI am sitting here for hours trying to get able to add content to og_panels. I have followed all the steps above and still have only summqary/selection rules tabs.. missing content and any other tabs. What Am I doing wrong?

merlinofchaos commentedIf you're using the og panels variant, then the content and layout will be provided by the group itself, not in the page manager interface. So for that, you'll have to go to the group, and add a panel there.

AntiNSA commentedAh yes.. I see... Basically if other people are having problems, I was too a little bit, heres what I did..
1)Ignore the tab that says og_panels on the left side of the menu wuth only 2 selection tabs..
2)Create the content type for your panels
3)create a panel as normal and select the content type you previously made in step one and all og_panel stuff will be processed automatically
Remember step 1.... ignore that tab.
