Thanks for a great module! I installed it on 4.7RC4 and had to manually add the fulltext index. I thought the .install file should take care of that.

That's correct, similar.install should do the index when you activate the module. If you had the 4.6 module activated, and you just overwrote the old with the new, .install wouldn't execute. Please confirm you didn't just overwrite.

I first removed the old index from the node table, then I simply overwrote the file. So it is not a bug.
