hi
when i use this profile and tick the image support, than i can see this:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function uc_product_add_imagecache_presets() in /var/www/drupal/profiles/uberdrupal/ubercart_image.pkg.inc on line 33
is this my problem or a error in the profile?

Ahh, I'm betting that's why I got a WSOD when I installed image support. Thanks for posting up! I'll get an alpha2 out soon that doesn't have that problem.

Is there a manual workaround we can try for now which will support the imagecache presets, or is it best to wait for alpha2?

It will still work fine despite the WSOD, actually. Once you get that far, just browse on into the site and everything will be fine.

Fixed and rolled into an alpha-2.
