WYSIWYG bridge?

Have you thought about adding an interface to the WYSIWYG, similar to drupalimage plugin?

I've been meaning to write a plugin for the ported easy_image_insert module but haven't had the time. There is a total overlap with the module functionality provided by Insert / FileField Insert and the modified easy image insert, albeit the ported version has more features but a rougher code base.

Another feature that I was going to look at was to make the insert input filter based, rather than the direct file link, although this has become less important with the latest pathfilter release.
