Hi,
I have checked the faq found here http://ddblock.myalbums.biz/faq#19n805 and my answer is positive on all questions.
I have attached my template and screengrab so that you can have a look.
My ddblock is on my homepage inside a panels 3 if that makes any difference at all.
I get the above error when trying to edit the panel. The slideshow is displayed fine on the actual site.

What is the compleet error message?
In the screengrab it looks like all is working fine. Where do I need to look at?
Please provide the additional information, so I can help you better.

Thanks for attaching the additional information
Looks like panels 3 want to show a kind of preview of the slideshow but does not find the preprocess functions to add variables for the template files and the error message is shown.
I will not have much time in the near future to look into this particular bug.
Like you say the slideshow works fine, but you see this error when editing panels.
