A separate sub-module for 'mini-checklists' on each page provided in a block. Examples of tasks would include:
- Title tag
- Heading
- Keywords in text
- Nice URL path

yeah, this would be cool. I also hope for integration with the SEO Friend module, so we could see master reports with all that page-specific info in the same place :-)

I wonder if something like SEO Compliance Checker would serve your needs already.

While the SEO Compliance checker does offer some useful functionality, it is an auto-checker. What I envision for the node-level checker is a much simpler concept.

On a node by node basis, provide an checklist in a "hidden" block. Permissions determine who can see it. There are a lot of things that can go in such a checklist that would be very difficult to check automatically. For example, here are a few things:

  • Post a tweet about this blog post.
  • Make sure that this meets brand messaging guidelines.
  • Does this page deliver value?
  • Does the image match the subject matter?
  • Notify Bob that this post is ready to go live.
  • Ask 3 other bloggers to mention this post.

My point is that strictly as an "SEO" checklist, perhaps Compliance checker works. But, as a general, editable checklist I think there is a need for something here.

I'd like to see a method where there is a default checklist with some basic stuff for blog posts. But, if someone wanted to tweak it, they could duplicate an xml file (or something) and edit it with their own particular company needs. Get with me on this if it doesn't make sense.

Issue queue maintenance: this one has passed the one decade threshold without activity, which is my official cutoff. 😉 Closing.
