Gallery Assist Problem

Installed gallery_assist-6.x-1.6
Receive this message at top:
notice: Undefined index: #node in /home/collect/public_html/modules/gallery_assist/gallery_assist.module on line 480.
What I wanted to do was to be able to add images to front page (or other pages of site). Do not see a method for doing this. How is this done?

Tried Apture
Removed Gallery Assist, just couldn't figure it ou. I installed Apture. Looked like it was working, saw image in preview, but not on page. Seeing this message:

Where and how to add these?
