Content within block

I currently have 3 blocks on my page.
Each page has to display a few different story's.
Is it possible with drupal, in combination with AJAX?, to change within a block the content ?
And how can i than manage these contents?

- quicktabs does ajax stuff.
- views + nodequeue lets you make lists of nodes
