Is there a way we can make this post "sticky" or something?
Or publish the same kind of message at Drupal's hompage may be?

I think most of the European Drupalers will "wake and start drupalling 'n digging" only in about 4-6 hours or so, followed by their US fellows not too much later.

It would be good to create some extra attention for Drupal @ Digg.com by then.

Dugg and blogged.

Speaking about digg. How do you put a small link that I see on blogs that say: Digg this blog post, Add to delicious, etc?

Sorry, but I do not exactly understand what/why you asked.

Try module service links (http://drupal.org/node/40790)

Didn't test it, but should do the trick...

The real question is, are you sure you're ready to be dugg? Everyone loves traffic, but getting dugg to the front page is like drinking from a fire hose.

Well, I'm running on a dedicated server which is 90% idle, so I should be able to take some traffic.

Dugg

I hope someone's benchmarking(?) the server under digg effect. Right now it's #4 on the home page and server's still hauling ass.

I tried looking at the logs but they were updated last over 7 hours ago, so while the site is still very zippy under heavy load, it is to be assumed that the throttle has kicked in.

within moments after the release. the site itself however remains spiffy so maybe the siteadmins need to change the trehholds
