Could you please detail somewhere how this module compares, why one would choose it over the other cache modules, etc?

Nearly a year later I found myself confused and ask same question: can you elaborate on other caching modules and explain why should be one used instead of other?

I found all information on caching very confusing and very hard to implement.

I finally get it up and working with APC on server and Cache Router that brought no performance until I enabled normal caching under Admin-> Performance.. how was I supposed to know that? And I was wondering if that maybe was not a good thing (Drupal Caching and Cache Router caching) AND STILL am confused as how to best configure options in settings.php file as I see no documentation on engines and meaning of all that options.

So please, explain as much as you can on comparing Cache with others and on optimizing configuration.

There is no difference, this is an unmaintained fork of my cache router project with no real release. Don't use it.
