I've read the issues about the translations stuff for the content profile nodes, although i'm quite confused about the patches to apply to gain a minimal support for translations.
I've tried using the patch found in here but i'm still unable to translate the profiles.

I'd like you to summarize here which is the way to add the chance to translate the profile nodes.

I'm closing this...i had to be really stoned not to see the wrong setting in the profile content type.
This has never been a real issue...
