Okease help with Panels and CCK

Hi

Very new user of Drupal and Panels. I have spent the last 2 days trying to figure this out and searching the forums and issues and no one seems to have the same problem.

Custom content type with CCK fields. On "System node_edit"--> "System node_edit" I add a variant for a content type and place the CCK fields. All goes well until I want to edit a node. The fields that I add are not editable but formated as text.

What am I doing wrong?
