Since both are now official, do people still need to download the CVS files or the oficial 4.7 module?

THanks

Yes, they work together without issue. The CVS version is (as usual) to allow users to test new features/bug fixes prior to them becoming more generally available in the 4.7 version. At the moment the differences relate mainly to css import -- you can check by looking through the CVS commits for gallery.module.

And for anyone needing to move from Gallery 2.0-> 2.1, this might help:

For me, moving from Gallery 2.0.9.34 on to 2.1.1.0.1 was a bit of a pain. The Gallery 2.1 installation instructions said to write over the files. This did not work and only tossed up errors.

Instead, I replaced the entire directory with a fresh installation of 2.1, keeping my config.php and images directory ('g2data') and my (backed up) gallery database in place.

Then I followed the steps as if it were a brand new install, making no changes to my db. To my surprise, it stepped through the upgrade steps after that and it worked, with everything as it was in 2.0.

Configuring the settings of the 4.7 gallery module, I received missing module errors. After I figured out they were missing two Gallery2.1 modules (image block and frame) and not missing Drupal 4.7 modules, I found them at the gallery.menalto.com website and installed them through the Gallery2.1 admin.

Works great. No errors.

I like this 4.7 ..

Good thing you've posted this as i will be updating my whole site (4.7-beta3 + G2.0) to Drupal 4.7 and G2.1

I'll try your approach.
