Trying to uninstall and reinstall admin_menu 3.x-dev I noticed that the machine-readable name "admin_menu" for Administration Menu is not compliant with the core and therefore you can't edit its description nor can you remove the menu after a uninstall.

Thanks for taking the time to report this issue.
However, marking as duplicate of #588872: Module menu sctructure persists in Navigation menu after uninstalling. Please search for existing issues before submitting a new one.
You can follow up on that issue to track its status instead. If any information from this issue is missing in the other issue, please make sure you provide it over there.
