By tabs i mean the navigation tabs, the ones that appear in the navigation area, in zen classic.

Zen Midnight as a theme is dead; please don't use it. Instead, use Zenophile with the Zenophile Midnight submodule if you want to create a Zen subtheme with a light-on-dark color scheme.
