RSVP module missing invitation tab

I went through the setup instructions, setting it up for the event connector. And from what I understand, I should now have a new tab on event pages marked 'invitation' and a new page under content management for RSVP admin, I have neither. I do though have an RSVP settings page which I have setup, but this is all.

• I haven't enabled the date connector
• I have setup all permissions as on for my superuse account (although this should make a difference for superuser)
• I have created a new event since activating the RSVP module

Any help on getting this to work, or a good process on solving it would be great.
