Dries will be keynoting at the Do It With Drupal Seminar in New Orleans this year. Last year's announcement made it onto the home page and this year's event should as well. Do It With Drupal is a national/international event which aims to fill a niche as a highly curated commercial event -- an easy onramp and introduction to Drupal and its community for individuals and companies.

The current early-registration price ends November 1st, so the sooner that this post could make it on the home page, the better.

This post looks good to me, and I give it my +1. I'd be fine with promoting it today, but I'm still not sure about the timing of the whitehouse.gov announcement post, which I'm guessing will take higher priority here.
