I have a problem with mp4's not playing in the player. A thumbnail is generated, it plays for the correct duration and the audio also plays correctly however the player screen stays black.

The documentation states that mp4's are compatible.

Can you think of a solution to this?

ps, other formats tested and working fine are .flv, .wmv, .avi

mp4 files are defiantly supported, as I have them working on a couple of sites. Can you post a screen-shot of your player? As I understand it, the song plays and the player displays a thumbnail; what part of the screen is black? Which skin are you using?

The thumbnail is displayed while it is buffering (thumb.jpg) and then when it plays the screen goes black (blank.jpg) while the audio plays.
It is the default skin, everything is still in default.
