Just want to try timeline locally but it's not showing up in timeline 6.x-2.0. I tried the a prepackaged and patched version and the svn version and installed in the folder sites/all/libraries/simile_timeline.

Did anyone get timeline locally running?

The problem was that the folder simile_timeline was not writable. I saw in the logs a warning. After setting the folder to correct permission the local folder timeline is showing up in the settings.
