Hi everybody :
Just to share with you that I found out that the AlwaysON network [http://www.alwayson-network.com/index.php] is moving to Drupal, and that they have created a new platform based on Drupal called GoingOn.com http://www.goingon.com/ .
This more big support for Drupal from big sites with tons of users and traffic!! :D
Cool!
Best regards,

Any contributions back to Drupal?
Very cool! Any contributions back to Drupal?

I´ll ask them :)
Hi Kieran :
Not sure about that, but I´ll ask them as I´m a paying member of AlwaysOn. :)
It is really cool.
Before this they were using a proprietary system called ExpressionEngine 1.4 from PMachine.
It is a great chance to show how can Drupal can handle big sites integrated with other features.

Wow, great design and
Wow, great design and concept!
And I can't resist mentioning two things: one, the site is designed by an Indian company and two, it uses the category module:-)
Edit: Oh, I remember now. They worked on www.ourmedia.org too, so the design quality isn't a surprise.
Thanks for appreciating GoingOn
Thanks for appreciating our work. We hope to be one of the biggest install of Drupal with tons of new features and functionalities. We will be doing a public Beta soon which will further cleanup a lot of things.

Themes?
Do you create themes or do conversions of existing themes?
Yes, Ashish. I was going to
Yes, Ashish. I was going to ask you the same thing myself. It would be easier to work with designers in India who understand drupal well and I bet there are just a handful.
we do both
ArunK / Ramdak, we do both. We typically do end-to-end work, starting with the requirements to functionalities and themeing.
You are right - there isn't enough drupal education in India.
Conributing
Bernard Moon, the CEO, attended (and sponsored) the Open Source CMS Summit in Vancouver, and said that he would have some development resources available for direct contributions (e.g. funded work on improvements for drupal.org and/or groups.drupal.org).
So, hopefully once the big launch is out of the way we'll see some great contributions.
