Hi there!

I will try and explain my problem as best as I can, but if you need any clarification just post a comment below.

I am running a VPS server on LAMP configuration with Ubuntu Hardy, MySQL 5 and PHP 4. Currently I have four Drupal sites on the server, each with their own databases for users and content. However, what I would like is to keep the content of each site on separate databases, but have one shared database for users so that when a user logins into one site he automatically logs into all of them. I don't have the technically know-how to accomplish this and my attention needs to be else SO I am asking for your services here.

Please email me if you have any further questions and also provide a brief abstract of how you would fix the problem, total hours and rate of pay.

Thanks!

Andrew

One more thing! Please also state of you are in the Bay area. I might have future problems to overcome and it would be nice to have someone local to go to

Thanks

Instead of going for shared tables across databases and all the potential issues you may have upgrading with that, something like the bakery module http://drupal.org/project/bakery can help you, provided you are using subdomains.

Um, unfortunately no all the sites are separate URL's, but thanks for the feedback!

How do you have more than one site at the same URL?

dunklea’s picture

No, they are four separate URL's all located on one VPS server

Anyone out there that can do this? This is a high priority problem for us to solve and I am happy to pay whatever rate i required to get it done

Use a module like multisite login: http://drupal.org/project/multisite_login

I got the point. We're implementing the similar system. Can you mail details with your quote?
