missing invitation tab and admin page

Description

I went through the setup instructions, setting it up for the event connector. And from what I understand, I should now have a new tab on event pages marked 'invitation' and a new page under content management for RSVP admin, I have neither. I do though have an RSVP settings page which I have setup, but this is all.

* I haven't enabled the date connector
* I have setup all permissions as on for my superuse account (although this should make a difference for superuser)
* I have created a new event since activating the RSVP module

I have done a forum post, but since then have been advised to to a support request as I may have more success.

Any help on getting this to work would be great.

Thankyou,
Dan

You mention that you have not enabled the date connector.

I hope though you enabled the event connector then because you need at one of the connectors enabled for the module to work properly.

I just assume you run into an issue that has been fixed in the latest dev release.

10/13/09: fixed by ulf1- #599034: Invitation tab does not appear in invited users accounts

Please update and try again.

Thankyou for your reply, I have got the date module enabled, and had previously noticed that post. But it says it will be fixed in the next release. The currently released version is the one with the issue, is the development version working reliably? I will try installing the dev version (6.x-2.x-dev) instead of the current release (6.x-2.0-rc3).

Will update this post when I have tried it.

For those reading this issue, the link to the previous issue was:

Thanks again ulf1,

Quickly tried with the dev version this morning (6.x-2.x-dev) and now have the RSVP management option. But still don't have the invite tab.

I have not deleted and reinstalled the event module or recreated the event content type yet though, so I may do a fresh install and setup with the new RSVP module if there aren't any other obvious solutions.

You safely should be able to use 6.x-2.x-dev, because it is used solely for bugfixing until the final release.

Reinstall is not required.

and now have the RSVP management option. means that the fix is working.

There is still a limitation about when the invite tab is being shown or not shown. It is shown only, if that particular user is at least maintainer/owner of one invitation or has been invited to one invitation.

After logging in, please try and enter the link YOURDOMAIN/user/1/rsvp into your addressbar to access the page that is now hidden because of the check I mentioned above.

Thanks,
Ulf

Thankyou for your help, I have 2 users, the first is superuser and has all permissions, the other was invited and has the invite permissions and is admining the group. When I go to the above path with either user I get:

Please send me some account information by email that I can login to your system (admin privilegues for this purpose) to verify the system if possible.

Thanks,
Ulf

Hi Dan,

Is it possible that your created event has no end date ?
I recognized a moment ago that I do not cover this situation well and have to make some adjustments so that it works properly. That could be the reason for the event to not show up in the users account info

as a workaround I suggest you select an and date for your event, or you select in the rsvp settings that you allow to create invitations on expired events.

Thanks
Ulf

I uploaded a new dev version with a fix, which I had to change other things for as well. Please test thoroughly and let me know.
