Hi,

I had to turn off the drupal cache due to some incompatabilities it had with some other scripts I was running.

However, the cache table is still VERY large and I'm out of space.

I tried running the cache_clear_all function (http://drupaldocs.org/api/head/function/cache_clear_all) but it does not seem to have cleared out the table, and it's still very large.

Is it safe to just truncate the whole table? Or will doing that cause other issues?

Regards,

fcmisc.

I'm using 4.7 and I have already truncated the cache table several times. Nothing bad happened.

I truncate the cache every time I backup the database, so far everything seems fine.

I've emptied the cache table many times (even with caching on) with no ill side effects.
