Bounty - Make CCK Calendar play nice with Organic Groups

gmak - October 26, 2009 - 22:28

I'm looking for someone to code a patch to the CCK Calendar module to allow it to use Organic Groups definitions in the 'legend'.

At present, CCK Calendar allows you to select colours for the calendar legend based on 'content type' or 'taxonomy terms'. I would like to add the ability to use Organic Groups.

As this is for a college website, our budget is limited to 150USD.

I know that this is a patch that other Drupal users would welcome, so the results will be given back to the community via the patch being posted to the CCK Calendar issue queue.

If you can help, please get in touch with me via the contact tab.

Maybe add taxonomy terms to OG group.

Maybe add taxonomy terms to OG group. For example, create terms named "red", "blue" ...
Is that what you want?

Shenzhuxi, The problem is

Shenzhuxi,

In principle, what you suggest will work, but the problem is that you are then having to set both the 'audience' (group) for an event as well as select a taxonomy for the event. If you get one of them wrong, your events display incorrectly. The taxonomy approach adds a layer of potential error. It would be cleaner to have just the group as the thing that is displayed in the calendar legend.
