That is really amazing. A web site usually takes a long time to concieve,
find some one to design and host it and register the domain etc.
Once it is up and running, filling it with meanigfull content used to take ages.
Keeping the content fresh and inviting for visitors and search engines
used to be an on going struggle.
Not any more. With Drupal it is a matter of a day.
The great features of this open source Content Management System
makes it so easy to set up any kind of site in one day.
http://paratlane.net is a real case and the best example.
Please take a look to see for yourself.

Not to bad of a site if it actually was a 1 day project. Since I've found drupal I've been working on my site for a couple weeks. I still haven't figured out the theme scheme.. In due time..

If your theme (Blue marine in this case) supports it.

You enable the mission statement from admin >> themes >> theme name if the theme supports it.

Sorry for the delay in reply as I wasn't on the forum for a couple of days.
I have seen the question has been answered below.(administer>>theme>>mission statement)
You can change the colour of the background in the theme css.
However i haven't figured out changing the font and colour of the font.
You need to be careful with changing themes as I found it difficult to
revert from a non working or unsuitable theme.

To revertfrom a problem
To revertfrom a problem theme, delete or remove the non working theme. Your better bet is to create a test user account, activate the theme and assign it to the test user. Log in with the test user. If you use an alterantive browser (opera/firefox) then you can work on it.

How to include a picture in user proifile ?

Many thanks for your suggestion about themes. Right now
I am trying to get goofy and fancy themes to work but
can't change the default.
Also do you know how I can get a photo to be included in user
profile. I have the image and upload modules. I guess i will need

after making the settings the picture upload option is now available.
However I still can't figure out how to include a picture in the BLOG entry.
I see this has been raised in the Forum
Shall appreciate an explanation. (I have all three available Image modules loaded)

Pictures on Pages (blogs, pages, etc)
Hi, I don't know if this is what you want, but here is an example http://winterssewing.com/drupal/?q=node/159 of a page with pictures. Although it is not in a blog, it would work the same. The pictures are inserted via FckEditor. I don't know of an "easy way" to put the pictures in, but this is how I do it.
