Hi,
I was interested in hosting some large video files on my hosting, but I ran in to a problem... - hard drive limitation, so I was thinking of few solutions:
1. Finding some free or very cheap FTP server. May be you have some suggestions?
2. I heard something about stream player witch can play files from torrents... This really exist, if so where to get it?
3. Storing video in MySql database. Column type was listed as VARBINARY(MAX) or FILESTREAM. How to do it? May be there is a module witch already have this function, if so how it is called?
The videos I want to host can be over 30min and have over 2GB weight + I would like to play them on-line.
If you have been in similar situations please share your experience :)

Cloud Files is the answer
You need Cloud Files from the Rackspace Cloud, it sounds like a perfect solution for what you described. The cost of very low for storage, just a flat $0.15/GB and you can stream the video with a global presence over the Limelight CDN platform with just a few clicks and a cost of $0.22/GB.

Also, you can easily open an account on the Rackspace Cloud site if you want to test first hand, there is no contract, setup fee or monthly minimum. You can literally test for pennies...hope this helps!
