Linuxtag 2006, Wiesbaden, Germany
... has started today. We have set up a site with useful material for us to remember and for visitors to digest. There also is a picture gallery which we will upgrade on a regular basis during the week.
The response from visitors to now has been very favourable. Many did not know Drupal yet but want to give it a try. Recurring themes where use as a platform and Drupal vs. Joomla.
In preparation for the show, I have put together a demo to show the ease with which it is possible to adapt ones own designs to Drupal. For this, I have downloaded a free template from one of my favourite template designers, Andreas Viklund.
I have used the PHPtal engine for converting the HTML and example content to Drupal. This way, I could leave the page and content intact. For now, I have created a link to the TAL file. After the show, I will make this into a proper Drupal template.
If you don't want to wait that long, why not come to Wiesbaden and have a look at the latest version of your favourite CMS? Our booth #102 is staffed the whole week until May 6th from 0900 to 1800.
See you in Wiesbaden,
Olav
