How do I put a module in a block

I have created a slideshow using slideshow module. How do I put it in a block on the front page?

if you're talking about the http://drupal.org/project/slideshow module, I don't believe it provides blocks or views integration so you'd have to use something like http://drupal.org/project/nodeasblock.

site building -> blocks -> list. Find the module under "disabled" and open the drop down menu. If it's not listed there it probably doesn't provide block integration and you can try downloading a separate module for it.
