I am using OG version 6.x-2.0-rc3 with File Framework. I selected the option for OG of parent nodes to be inherited by attached files. While the groups themselves are inherited, the "Public" option is incorrectly added to the files rendering them publicly visible.

Cannot replicate this issue with the og-6.x-2.0. I have created a blog with the attachment and put it in several groups leaving the "Public" checkbox unchecked. Attached file was put in the same groups as the parent node and the "Public" checkbox for it is also unchecked.

Could you upgrade to og-2.0 and check if the issue is still there?
