I'm not sure how I missed this being published officially back in August, but there needs to be a link to the trademark policy in the footer. Either replacing the link to Dries's blog or adding a new link to http://drupal.com/trademark
Related, I am surprised there was never any front page article/mention of this new policy on drupal.org. If other people feel similarly, I can create an issue to promote a article to the front page with the announcement.

gerhard killesreiter commentedGood point, I changed it to point to drupal.com as suggested.
This should be done on the other websites too, moving....
WorldFallz commentedBit nitpicky, but it should probably be:

rcross commentedJust curious - is it worth putting a link to the trademark policy in the core code/docs? or perhaps it warrants a new file added to core?
TRADEMARK-POLICY.txt ?
Also, this still needs to be changed on g.d.o before being marked "fixed"
gregglesFixed on g.d.o -> Goba, tag, you're it.
@rcross - that should be an issue in the core queue.
gábor hojtsyDone. Where else should it go?
gregglesI guess API and Association. drumm can get them both at the same time.
rcross commentedi added a core issue for the text file http://drupal.org/node/637922
Comment #10
drummAssociation and API done.
juliangb commentedI'd like to propose that the text in #2 be changed to:
It adds a link to the drupal.org main site.
This is irrelevant for d.o itself, but very few of the subsites seem to have easily found links back - and it would save a bit of typing if we knew we could simply scroll to the bottom and click.
(Out of a quick survey of api.d.o, groups.d.o and localize.d.o - only api.d.o seems to have an obvious link back)

dman commentedSo, I've tried a few times over the last few days.
I'm getting no response from that link. http://drupal.com/trademark just stalls out.
And drupal.com vs drupal.org? Um I must have missed the history on that one.
I'll re-open this issue, as as far as I can see, the link added to the footer is actually incorrect?
WorldFallz commentedIt should be right-- there must be a problem with the site atm. I've used the contact form in the past as recently as a week or so ago.

silverwing commentedLink in #15 works (and the trademark text is on the new site), setting to fixed.
