Taxonomy term image rendering / zooming...?
OK, I've searched high and low, and seem to find solutions all around but not addressing my issue... I am using D6.14 and Ubercart 6.x-2.0 to build a parts book and ordering application, and all looks good so far. I have the parts book pages defined in the UC Catalog vocabulary using a hierarchy, and am assigning products to each term no problem.
I then noticed that the taxonomy terms allow an image to be attached to them (not using the Taxonomy Image module at all, just using the core taxonomy features), and in using this feature I have been able to attach schematic images for each parts page (defined as a taxonomy term) that when configured using ImageCache and the uc_XXX presets, give me a nice thumbnail image in the term grids, and then a larger image at the top of the term listing. NOW for the big question... Is there a way to apply something like Zoomify to the image that has been associated with the taxonomy term and that is already showing up at the top of my "parts book pages?" Everything I have found mentions using the Taxonomy Image module for attaching taxonomy images to node content, or ImageField CCK fields within content, or Image nodes as content - but nothing seems to address the image associated within core with the taxonomy term itself.
Has anyone tried to do something like this, or have suggestions as to how to attack this scenario? Due to the complexity of the schematics, I have scans at 7000x7000 px, and Zoomify sounds like it would be the icing on the cake for zooming in on the term's image. I just can't figure out how to access that image, or if Zoomify (or some other zoom-in-place tool) can do anything with the term image as all those tools address ImageField and Image node data.

That's not part of core taxonomy-- that's something ubercart provides. I know i've seen zoomify enabled ubercart sites-- did you try their forums?

Thanks for pointing that out. I just confirmed that after reading your post (not doubting, just trying to figure out the mechanism). Yes, I've searched over on UC's forums and nobody has posted anything - I'm about to hit them up there as welll. Worst case, I might get stuck rolling my own views so I can jam an Image node or ImageField in to work from. I was just hoping that there would be more control over that catalog image out of the box...
