Specify theme per node?

I know that you can create theme files for specific node numbers and content types, but is there any custom module that allows a drop down list on the node edit page that allows the selection of a given theme?

I assume you mean a contrib module. Investigate the node_theme module. Not sure if it does exactly what you want. I've not tested it only know of it.

That one looks defunct or not started, but it links to ThemeKey, which might suit. There is also Sections, which looks like it may match my needs.
