backport of 6.x with jquery_ui

For the life of me, I can't actually get the 5.1 version working on our company's legacy 5.x sites. I backported my 6.x-dev version to 5 so that the 5 version requires jquery_ui, and it works for me. Attached is the tgz, I can create a 5.2 release if you want. It might also clear up some of the pending 5.x tickets
