Strange request

Counter to what other people want, I would actually love to have the menu close when an item or a sub item is clicked on ...

(This is only because the page will then have the submenu across the top, using quicktabs... and I don't want to have two menu structures open at the same time).

Please help, is there any way I can do this... I'll buy you a beer...
