Hashtags pulled from taxonomy

I've been trying to hack this in for hours, but I'm just not experienced enough...

I think it would be very useful to have hashtags pulled in from a "hashtags" taxonomy vocabulary token. It looks as though Tweet is restricted to [url], [title], and custom hashtags. I think this method would allow for some great flexibility. Does this sound like a plausible request? Thanks!
