For me?
I've installed Drupal and have been playing around with it for a few days now. I like all the configuration options it allows but they can be extremely confusing at times. What i'm wondering is, is Drupal really what i'm looking for. Maybe you guys can help me out.
Here's what I want to do.
A Family and friends website only. Nothing huge.
Every user has there own home page. For example.... www.xxxabc.com/myhome, www.xxxabc.com/herhome, www.xxxabc.com/hishome etc..
Every user's home page is very configurable and user friendly.
Possibly incorporate forums.
Possibly a shoutbox.
This sounds a lot like MySpace without the shoutbox and forums and that's what im aiming for.
And I guess I could use MySpace but that's to easy and I wouldn't learn anything except how to block people im sure.
There is probably a lot more i'll want to add later but this would be a good start in the right direction of what im trying to achieve.

Drupal can indeed help you create a site for you and your family. You can use the og.module (organic groups) which and create a group for each family member or investigate the subdomain.mdoule which will allow you (depending on server settings I'd think) to create SUBDOMAIN.yourdomain.com for each person in the family who is a member of the site.
Ultimately only you can decide if drupal is for you.

There are a ton of modules out for Drupal so i'm sure it can do anything I want. I will keep at it for awhile and see if I can come up with something that suits my needs..
