Primary Links menu CSS

I use your theme for nearly every project.

I also use Simple Machines Forums

Usually it is not a problem for me to recreate your menu in my SMF theme but for some reason I can't get it to work in IE8

I know this is out of the scope of the theme, but if you could help me recreate the css for the menu i would really appreciate it.

The code just from the nav menu does not satisfy it so i am thinking it must be a drupal thing somewhere
