I updated to emfield 6.13 and it causes update.php to give a completely Blank page, no html, no error message, nothing. I re-installed 6.12, ran update.php, then tried 6.13 again, same blank result. I re-installed 6.12 and all is well.

same here; in addition, all pages on my site gave this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function imagecache_presets() in /home/rjmurray/public_html/drupal/sites/all/modules/emfield/contrib/emthumb/emthumb.module on line 681

downgrading back to 6.12 took care of me.

the second error is because of #618272: bug in emfield.php and emthumb. Try either upgrading to the dev version of the module, or installing imagecache and see if that fixes the problem. sorry; i'll make a new release by next week with the fix.

i assume the blank screen on update is for the same reason. please re-open if that doesn't fix that problem.
