Way to add the thumbnail with the link to the node, in the search results or like
a display format which is a thumbnail -> node link option that we can add it to the search results.Thanks a lot for such a great mudule.

you can use Views module to list thumbnails. Just add a search field to the view you create.

i am pretty sure you cannot do it with the built-in Search.

This is really a search theming issue. I suggest trying Views Search or something similar if theming the search output is beyond your current abilities.
