Possible to trigger popup from attached view

I have a gmap view with an attachment view showing a table. Is it possible to create a link on the table that makes the popup on the map which corresponds to it appear? Is there an example somewhere on how to do this or something similar?

From the google maps api docs, it looks like I can call GMarker.showMapBlowup() to get the bubble to show. How do I determine what the object name for a particular GMarker is?
