I'd like to instal drupal on a shared host (the hosting company is fasthosts)
There are various limitations that are in place on my shared hosting:
Unavailable database privilages:
* ALL
* FILE
* PROCESS
* RELOAD
* SHOW DATABASES
Restricted .htaccess usage.
... Does this mean that I wont be able to successfully instal Drupal? :(
(I've tried and I cant get themes to work and some configurations dont seem to work...)
Thanks for your feedback in advance,

Should work fine.
It should work fine. These MySQL permissions are just for administrators and .htaccess isn't needed for Drupal to run (I have several sites running on IIS which doesn't support anything like .htaccess at all).
Beware the php memory limit!
I think that Fasthosts offers only 8mb or less for php scripting, whereas Drupal recommends that 8 is the bare minimum and CivicSpace takes 24mb.
More RAM for shared hosting
I have a dedicated server with FASTHOSTS and i wans recently discussing this problem with the 8mbs of ram and they informed me that they recently changed the amount of ram on shared hosting accounts from 8mb to 20mb. just thought you might like to know.
Another thing worth mentioning. FASTHOSTS are a great webhosting company. certainly the best i have ever used. I would recommend them!! This is based on a dedicated server that is. i couldn't tell you if a shared hosting account is suitable for Drupal.
