I have a stupid bug: i want to enable some fields of APK for "Use on Registration"
Home › Administer › Content management › User Profile
i check the field "Use on Registration" and check the desired fields.
No luck! the fields do not show up on the registration page. Permissions set, cache cleared
And one other thing related to this:
I have added a custom field to the default APK fields, but this one does not show up as an option for "Use on Registration"
Only the default APK fields are listed.
Uhh... i just realized that even APK default fields are missing

michelleAPK has nothing to do with using CCK fields on the registration page. That's a Content Profile submodule. Moving this over there.

pivey commentedAnyone?.. i need this issue fixed...please?
pivey commentedat least the module creator could help?

michelleI think he just got back from traveling. He may be busy. You could try asking in the forums to see if anyone else has a problem. It's always worked just fine for me so I have no idea.

pivey commentedhm, ok.. thanks anyway. I de-installed both modules and now have my freedom.
However, besides that modules are contributed free and there is no MUST for anyone to reply to issues.... at least we can expect a quick anouncement that there will be no support for date x until date x.
Yes... i have to wait until someone arrived back from holidays and ... maybe respond to my issue. (besides..i realized that the response comes after some user -like me in this case- is complaining).
You see, developers don't like people complains about poor support.
Still don't understand why many people contribute their work here if they are not willing to provide a steady, reliable, quick support.
Even the stupiest question (from a "mid-phphier") deserves a quick comment.
Why provide quick support? That's a question ends up in a non ending discussion.
My watch has 24 hours, others one week.

michelleWell, if that's the way you want to go, ok.

michelleSince you edited your post to add more questions after I responded...
There is no guarantee of support on any module and the maintainer does not need to inform users of his/her schedule. If a module is completely abandoned, it is usually marked as such but this one isn't. Not all maintainers are active in their queues and some, like me, will go through active and inactive periods depending on how busy they are. If you download free software with the expectation of "steady, reliable, quick support" you are going to be sorely disappointed. People give back code because others may find it useful and not everyone is interested in offering free support forever just because they wanted to give code back.

Meeyo commented@ pivey Try to check the permissions. I spent 1 day searching for this. Some people had the same issue. Thanks to http://drupal.org/node/543134.
