Need help with organizing content

crochetmermaid - November 1, 2009 - 07:04

Please go to http://www.crafteuphoria.com what I want to accomplish is to make each topic in the sucker fish menu open to it's own section, sort of like http://www.bellaonline.com/Channel/c17.asp and when you click on a subject it opens up to it's own section like http://www.bellaonline.com/site/spinning Do I need a Drupal programmer or can I sort of make it do this with the "Views" module, or I am just wanting too much ? I may be looking at the wrong stuff and will freely admit I am not a great coder, any suggestions help will be greatly appreciated.

Never mind, I think I have

Never mind, I think I have got it....sorry to have put this up but it just now came to me and yes I feel a little stupid right now and my excuse is that I am pretty sure that I just over thinked this whole thing. What I will do is make sub categories as "books" and as the articles are submitted I will ad them as "child pages" that way when someone clicks on say "Beadwork" they will be taken to a page that will have the sub categories (just wanted to put my solution in case this helps someone else) Of course I will certainly still take any suggestions/ideas.

I would probably do this with taxonomy then use taxonomy_menu to generate the menus. Suckerfish is a theme level thing that can be added manually or with the nice_menus module.
