Thanks for the great contribution! In your description you mention that you can set it up to handle distances and weights... I'm trying to do that. Is there more documentation on this somewhere or another module that makes this possible? I have it set up to handle currency, I'm just not sure what I need to do next.

Well, other units types are not implemented in this module directly. You may look at API.txt of Units module how to implement your own unit types.
